The Ottawa chapter of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is pleased to present to its members a guided tour of the Ottawa Valley Waste Recovery Centre (OVWRC) in Pembroke, ON.
Tour participants will be transported to and from the facility by bus, and can choose to be picked up and dropped off from the downtown or Kanata location detailed below.
The tour will take an estimated one and a half hours, and includes a presentation from an OVWRC staff member, as well as a driving tour of the facility, with opportunities to view the compost and recycling operations through windows.
Eatable refreshments will be provided on the bus, and tour participants are requested to bring their own drinking water in re-usable containers in order to minimize waste.

2:00 pm Arrival at OVWRC
2:15 pm Presentation by OVWRC staff, followed by facility tour
3:45 pm Conclusion of tour
4:00 pm Departure from OVWRC
5:45 pm Tour member drop off from location 2: In front of Holiday Inn at Kanata Centrum Mall
6:15 pm Tour member drop off from location 1: Lyon St between Albert St and Slater St
No discounts are available for tour members who choose to bring their own vehicle to the OVWRC. Tour members who bring their own vehicle to the OVWRC are still required to register.
