5. Circulation

The Ottawa Chapter is the largest of the 36 Chapters in Ontario with over 8,400 members residing within the boundaries of the Ottawa Valley and including the western Quebec region. Total circulation approximately 8500 to qualified licensed professional engineers and graduate engineers in industry, government, private practice, retired and non-employed whose PEO address is within the Ottawa Boundaries. Newsletters are distributed by mail or by email list server. List server numbers as of January 2006 are approximately 5400. Members of the list server will not receive the paper mailed newsletter, but an electronic verion instead. The newsletter is black and white for the mailing and colour for the list server, which is in a pdf format.

Ottawa Chapter Boundary (Chapter 40)

Includes all that part of Eastern Ontario within a line drawn as follows: From the Ottawa River South along the east boundaries of Clarence and Cambridge Townships to the north boundary of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Electoral District, west along the Electoral boundary to the west boundary of Carleton Electoral District, north to the south boundary of Beckwith Township, west along south boundary of Beckwith Township to Drummond Township, north along west boundary of Drummond Township to south boundary of Lanark Township, west to Lanark, continuing west following the south, west and north boundary of Lavant, Dalhousie and north Sherbrooke Township, east to west boundary of McNab Township, north to Hwy #508, then east following the highway to the Ottawa River north of Braeside.

Ottawa Chapter Boundary (Chapter 65)

Includes those communities located in the Province of Quebec and part of the immediate Ottawa Capital Region. These include the communities of: Alcove, Aylmer, Cantley, Chelsea, Gatineau, Hull, Low, Luskville, Masson, Old Chelsea, Pointe Gatineau, Shawville, Touraine, Wakefield, the area also includes those residence mailing addresses with the following postal codes: JOX, J8P -R, -T, -V, -X, - Y, -Z and J9A, -H, -J.

6. Mechanical Requirements

Electronic files accepted only. Word format accepted only (text box, picture, etc.). Volunteers do the Chapter newsletter on Microsoft Word, with no software for other formats.

7. Submissions

Submissions shall be sent to after an agreement has been signed.

8. Content

Content that is not deemed appropriate for the newsletter will be returned. Advertisers will not be charged for this return. Determination of acceptable content is at the sole discretion of the Ottawa Chapter of the PEO.
